Project Description:
We needed to work closely with our client on this project. They required the flexibility to divide the main hall on this development, the challenge we faced was that there was no structural support available for a top hung system.
The MG200 sliding folding partition was selected as this is a floor supported folding screen that runs on a shallow door bar style floor track. The second issue we had to overcome was the size of the opening at 11,000 mm wide x 3,000 mm high added to this the panels had to stack in to two existing recesses. We overcame this by installing the folding partition with a bi parting stacking arrangement using sixteen panels, this allowed the client to have double doors in the centre of the opening for access in to either hall.
The acoustic rating for the MG200 is 46dB and the finish on the folding screen panels is a dark wood veneer appearance laminate that compliments the surrounding décor perfectly.
Overview:
The end result of the sliding folding partition installation is unbelievable, the MG200 panels move effortlessly and look amazing. The client was so happy with the operation and appearance of the folding partition that on completion we were awarded a separate contract to install a smaller MG200 sliding folding partition in a separate area of the church.
