We were awarded this project initially to supply a traditional glazed movable wall however following a design meeting our client opted for our MG500 hinged flush glazed sliding folding partition.
This product is unique in that the hinges are totally invisible which gives the appearance of a fixed glazed wall when in position. The MG500 flush glazed folding sliding partition has a minimal back painted frit border that allows for maximum glazing, this was finished in black as was the powder coated top guide track. The total weight of the glazed folding partition is on the floor using a slimline track that has an SAA finish.
The MG500 glazed folding partition divides the main office to the boardroom and with a 45dB acoustic rating is perfect for the client’s requirements. As the only means of access to the boardroom is through the flush glazed folding partition the MG500 was ideal as it is supplied as standard with a full height door.
The glazed sliding partition parks to one side of the opening and with the thickness of each panel being only 70mm it means that we can minimise the loss of space by the panels when stacked.
We also installed our MG100 operable wall system that divides a large meeting room, this has four panels, finished with a veneer appearance laminate and an acoustic rating of 50dB.
Overview:
During the installation, the designer and end user were on site and were really impressed with the aesthetic appearance the flush glazed folding wall gives. They commented that as they would only move the screen occasionally, it was great that the system gives the look of a fixed glazed partition.
