Project Description
Working for a prestigious client, we were tasked to assist with the design of a movable wall that would give maximum flexibility and acoustic performance (46dB) whilst at the same time giving a spacious feel with the induction of double glazed vision panels.
The panel finish for the surround was selected from a vast range of over 150 laminates in a Matt Black and has been kept to a minimum dimension whilst still incorporating mechanical seals, the edge profiles were powder coated to match the panels giving a seamless finish. The stacking arrangement is single point which allows the client to Open/Close the partition quickly with no fuss. We installed a threaded rod & uni-strut framework within the 600mm ceiling void to a concrete soffit & a double skin foil faced baffle to match the acoustic rating of the movable wall.
Overview
Although this was not a large partition, there were challenges with the services on the track installation that were overcome. The acoustic performance is excellent and the client is very happy with the visual look & operation of the system. A very fast turnaround was required on this fit out. We were very pleased to hit these deadlines snag free.
