Project Description:
We worked closely on the design with our client on a challenging movable acoustic wall specification. The requirement was to supply and install two MG100 operable walls on a single point suspension that park into a purpose-built recess, each movable wall has an acoustic rating of Rw 50dB. This was straight forward however the finish and detail for each panel was far more difficult.
The client required each acoustic panel to be wrapped in a stretched Kvadrat fabric with the four central panels to have a central band with a dry wipe marker board. We managed to fit an SAA trim to the top and bottom of each dry wipe board that gave a natural break to the fabric and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The MG100 movable wall panels were supported from the concrete soffit using a threaded rod and unistrut frame, we also installed an acoustic baffle within the void to maintain the acoustic integrity.
Overview:
The two MG100 movable acoustic walls give the end user maximum flexibility of meeting room sizes. The finish is very impressive, and the dry wipe finish helps with presentations. This was a tight programme and all our work was carried out on time and snag free to create a flexible working space.
